Day 1: Full-Day ATV Adventure: Maras, Moray, and Salt Mines

Your day begins early with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Leaving the city behind, you’ll head to the Sacred Valley, enjoying breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains along the way. The fresh mountain air and spectacular scenery create the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable adventure.

Upon arrival at the base camp, you’ll receive a safety briefing and a short practice session to familiarize yourself with the ATV. Don’t worry if it’s your first time: your guide will ensure you feel confident before the adventure begins.

Once you’re ready, the real adventure begins. Riding along dirt trails, through open fields, and through spectacular Andean landscapes, you’ll experience the thrill of freedom as you navigate this unique terrain on your ATV. Along the way, you’ll make your first stop at Moray, an incredible archaeological site known for its circular agricultural terraces. Your guide will share fascinating information about how the Incas used this site as an agricultural laboratory.

Continuing your journey, you’ll head to the charming town of Maras, where you can appreciate its traditional colonial style and tranquil atmosphere. Afterward, you’ll visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, a spectacular network of thousands of salt pans cascading down the mountainside. This is one of the most photogenic spots in the Sacred Valley and a highlight of the day.

After exploring and taking plenty of photos, you’ll return to base camp by ATV, enjoying one last ride through the Andean landscape.

Start 8:00 a.m. part of the city of Cusco to the kilometer 39 of the road (Cusco – Ollanta) private transportation will take about 45 minutes to reach the base of CUATRIMOTOS CUSCO
You must be ready 15 minutes before for pick-ups from your respective hotels.
Then you will have a training of about (10 -15) minutes to familiarize yourself with the ATVs.
Purchase of necessary things for the route such as sunblocks, water, snacks, rehydration cookies, etc. or use of hygienic services.
Then we start to drive the ATVs, only after about 10 minutes we will have our first stop to have a majestic view of the Vilcanota mountain range, the spectacular view of the chicon, san juan, pistusiray and wacaywillca snow peaks, then we will arrive at the town of huaynaccolca where we will make a brief stop.
Continuing our journey through the Andes mountain, the route consists of ups and downs incredible landscapes and lots of fun, 45 minutes of travel and everything in the direction of the archaeological center of Moray.
We will make a stop in Moray and we will be able to do the guided tour that will be in charge of one of our bilingual professional guides.
Following our tour we will pass through the town of Maras, which is characterized by its colonial period covers
To finish our tour we will visit the salt mines of Maras known as Salineras
