Day 01: Arrival in Lima – City of Kings

Welcome to Peru and the beginning of your Machu Picchu & Galápagos 15-Day Tour. Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, you will be met by our representative and transferred privately to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax after your international flight or begin discovering Lima at your own pace. Known as the City of Kings, Lima boasts a fascinating blend of pre-Columbian heritage, Spanish colonial architecture, and vibrant modern districts. You may choose to stroll along the clifftop parks of Miraflores, admire views of the Pacific Ocean, or sample Peru’s world-famous cuisine at one of the city’s renowned restaurants.

This day is designed to ease you into the journey and prepare you for the adventures ahead.

Day 02: Lima City Tour & Gastronomic Experience

• Breakfast at the Hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, begin a guided city tour of Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital and a fascinating blend of ancient history, colonial heritage, and modern life. Start in the Historic Center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will visit Plaza Mayor, surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s Palace. Continue to the San Francisco Monastery, famous for its impressive colonial architecture and historic catacombs.

The tour then moves to modern Lima, visiting the upscale district of Miraflores, known for its parks, shopping areas, and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Continue to Barranco, Lima’s bohemian quarter, celebrated for its colorful streets, art scene, and the iconic Bridge of Sighs.

To complete the experience, enjoy a carefully selected gastronomic experience, showcasing Peru’s world-renowned cuisine at a local restaurant (lunch included, depending on program). After the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 03: Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas

After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, instead of staying in the city, you will be transferred directly to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, descending in altitude to allow for better acclimatization.

During the scenic drive, enjoy breathtaking views of the Andean mountains, traditional villages, and agricultural terraces that have been cultivated since Inca times. Upon arrival at your hotel in the Sacred Valley, check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax, explore the surroundings, or enjoy the hotel’s amenities.

Day 04: Sacred Valley Tour

After breakfast, set out on a full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most important cultural and agricultural regions of the Inca Empire. Begin with a visit to the Pisac Archaeological Site, where you will explore impressive terraces, temples, and ceremonial structures overlooking the valley. Enjoy time at the Pisac Traditional Market, known for its colorful handicrafts and local products.

Continue to Ollantaytambo, an extraordinary Inca fortress and one of the best-preserved living Inca towns in Peru. Walk through its stone streets and learn about Inca urban planning, religious beliefs, and advanced agricultural techniques. After the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 05: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board a scenic train journey through the Urubamba River canyon toward Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, continue by bus up the mountain to the entrance of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Enjoy a guided tour of the citadel, discovering its most important areas, including temples, terraces, plazas, and astronomical sites. Learn about the mystery, history, and engineering genius of the Incas in this spectacular setting surrounded by cloud forest.

After the guided visit, descend to Aguas Calientes.

Day 06: Machu Picchu – Cusco

This morning, you may choose an optional second visit to Machu Picchu (subject to availability) to explore the site at your own pace or enjoy additional viewpoints. Alternatively, enjoy free time in Aguas Calientes to visit local markets or relax.

At the scheduled time, board the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, followed by a private transfer to Cusco. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 07: Cusco City Tour

• Breakfast at the Hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Visit the impressive Cusco Cathedral, home to important colonial art, followed by Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), once the most sacred temple of the Incas.

Continue to the nearby archaeological sites surrounding the city: Sacsayhuamán, famous for its massive stone walls; Qenqo, a ceremonial center; Puca Pucara, a military outpost; and Tambomachay, known for its water fountains and religious significance. Return to your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 08: Cusco – Free Day or Optional Experiences

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Cusco to explore the city independently, shop for handicrafts, or relax at a café. Optional activities can be arranged, such as a Peruvian cooking class, a South Valley tour, or a full-day excursion to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), depending on your interests and physical condition.

Day 09: Cusco – Lima – Guayaquil

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Cusco to Lima. Upon arrival, connect with your international flight to Guayaquil, Ecuador. After landing, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Guayaquil – Galápagos Islands – Cruise Begins

• Breakfast at the Hotel.

Early transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galápagos Islands. Upon arrival, meet your certified naturalist guide and transfer to the port to board your luxury expedition yacht.

After settling into your cabin, enjoy your first excursion in the Galápagos, including guided walks and wildlife observation. Encounter unique species such as sea lions, marine iguanas, and endemic birds. All meals included.

Day 11: Galápagos Cruise – Day 1
