Community Rural Tourism in Raqchi 2D/1N

Experiential tourism is one of the different alternatives that the city of Cusco offers to all its travelers, allows them to interact directly with people from different areas that to this day live under the principles of their ancestors. The experience is unique and highly recommended for all travelers. One of the best places to do activities related to experiential tourism in Cusco is in the district of Raqchi. Raqchi allows the visitor to discover a living museum where the ancestral remains in different expressions of culture, such as ceramics, music, dance, gastronomy, clothing. This small town is located about 120 km south of the city of Cusco, on the route to Puno, has an altitude of 3480 masl. It is made up of 80 families that are dedicated to the cultivation of their lands, handicrafts and tourism.

Day 1: Tour of Cusco – Raqchi and Visit to the families in Raqchi

After a short break we will continue our activities with the inhabitants of Raqchi, we will visit the houses of the program of experiential tourism the idea is that the traveler can observe the traditions that the inhabitants of Raqchi maintain with the passage of the years. There will be a typical lunch in the families’ houses in Raqchi, this lunch will be prepared by the same settlers. In the evening we will have dinner with show prepared also by the inhabitants of the area of ​​Raqchi, with their typical costumes prepared by themselves. Day 02: Visit of the Archaeological Center of Raqchi – Return to Cusco

After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the Wiraqocha Temple, which according to the chroniclers was built by the Inca Wiraqocha in tribute to the Invisible Superior God of the Andean people: “Apu Kon Titi Wiraqocha”. After the visit we will observe the crafts and fabrics made by the same inhabitants of Raqchi. At approximately noon we will have a typical lunch in Raqchi. In the afternoon we will be returning to the city of Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco we will take you back to your hotel.
