Huaraz fantastic 4 days / 3 nights

Huaraz is a beautiful city located on the banks of the Santa River, in the Callejón de Huaylas between the Cordilleras Blanca and Negra, It offers visitors the possibility of doing various activities such as: Conventional, archaeological and experiential tourism, Adventure tourism (hiking, climbing, cycling, canojate, etc.) also represents an important part of the tourist offer in the area.

Day 1: ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTER OF CHAVIN / LAGUNA DE QUEROCOCHA (DURATION: 9 HOURS).

8:00 am. Breakfast. 9:00 am. Departure from Huaraz heading south. En route we will have the view of the villages of Recuay, Ticapampa, Cátac and we will drive to the Querococha lagoon, Here we start the ascent to the Cahuish tunnel and then descend through the Conchucos area crossing the villages of Tambillos, Machac, Quercos , We arrive at Chavín de Huántar, millenary monument located between the rivers Mosna and Huachecsa, ceremonial center of ancient pilgrimage of great transcendence for the Peruvian culture.

Day 2: CALLEJÓN DE HUAYLAS – LAGUNA DE LLANGANUCO (DURATION: 9 HOURS).

8:00 am. Breakfast (On behalf of the passenger). 9:00 am. We begin our tour visiting the northern part of the Callejón de Huaylas. On the way we will see the towns of Anta, Marcara and Carhuaz, where we will cross the square, taste the natural ice cream of pure fruit, observe the Cave of Guitarreros and visit the holy field of Yungay, a city that disappeared after the earthquake of the year 1970, We will enter to the National Park of Huascarán to appreciate the beautiful Llanganuco lagoon where we can take a boat ride (optional), Then we will enjoy the delicious Pachamanca. We will visit the city of Caraz, where we will taste its delicious sweets, finally we will go to the town of Taricá, where we will appreciate the elaboration of the pottery in an artisan way. Return to the city of Huaraz.

Day 3. PASTORURI / ROUTE OF CLIMATE CHANGE (DURATION: 9 HOURS).

8:00 am. Breakfast. 9:00 am. We left Huaraz heading south, passing through Recuay, Ticapampa, Cátac, up to the Pachacoto ravine. Here we take the detour that leads to the water spring in Pumapampa, the imposing Puya de Raymondi, eye of water of Puma Shimi (Boca de Puma), cave paintings, etc. We will finish with the views of the snowy Rajupampa or Pastoruri and the frozen lagoon, where we will arrive after a walk of 50 minutes aprox. Return to Huaraz.

Day 4: LAGUNA 69 (DURATION: 10 HOURS).

Breakfast. 5:00 a.m. Now we are heading north, crossing the villages of Carhuaz, Yungay, Llanganuco lagoon to Cebollapampa to start the trek for about 3 hours, we will go through a ravine until we reach Laguna 69 (4,600 masl) characterized by its particular intense blue color , located at the foot of the snowy Chacraraju, We will be around an hour to return by the same route to Cebollapampa and then to Huaraz. Day 01:  Welcome To Peru!  Cusco – Sacred Valley

Because of its lower elevation and its peaceful atmosphere, the Sacred Valley is the perfect place to enjoy your first days in Cusco as you adapt to the high altitude. You have two optional routes you can choose from today: (1) Awanacancha and Pisac Market route: See all the different camelids of Peruvian Andes, and visit the traditional indigenous market of Pisac, where you shall be able to appreciate many local customs and observe innumerable regional products. (2) Maras and Moray route: Tour the archaeological site of Moray, consisting of circular terraces, the continue to see the salt-extraction complex of Maras, and time-permitting, a textile workshop in Chinchero.

 Day 02:  Sacred Valley  Explore The Majestic Sacred Valley Of The Incas

The Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of the most beautiful areas in Peru. It spans about 60km from the village of Pisaq until Ollantaytambo and along its length, we can find picturesque Andean towns, towering snow peaks and probably the highest concentration of Inca sites in Peru. Today, you will visit the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, an impressive Inca complex that protected this area from incursions from the Amazon Basin. Ollantaytambo is one of the best examples of Inca architecture you can see nowadays. Visiting it in the morning will allow you to enjoy this site to the fullest before the larger crowds arrive in the afternoon. For lunch, you can experience a traditional cooking technique called Pachamanca. Other available options for today include visiting a local community or going hiking with llamas.

Day 03: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Sacred Valley  Discover Breathtaking Machu Picchu

Today, after enjoying a nice breakfast, you’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes. The train journey is a spectacle in itself- appreciate the changing landscape of green fields, eucalyptus forests, and lush jungles while always traveling beside the meandering Urubamba River. Upon arriving you’ll head up to Machu Picchu. Take a bus up the steep zigzagging road to Machu Picchu Citadel, located on an impressive mountain setting. You can enjoy your tasty lunch with great views of the citadel here. Later, take your guided tour around the main areas of the citadel. You can tour the site until it closes.

Day 04: Sacred Valley – Chinchero – Cusco Visit A Textile Workshop In Chinchero

Today you can wake up late and relax after a long but entertaining day at Machu Picchu yesterday. In the morning, your transport will be ready to pick you up and take you back to Cusco. You’ll be crossing the village of Chinchero en route, famous for its textile workshops. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can make a short stop here upon request. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the afternoon wandering the beautiful streets in Cusco.

 Day 05: Cusco   Lose Yourself In The Historic World Heritage Of Cusco

Cusco is one of the most interesting cities in Peru and South America. Today you’ll have the entire day to explore the gorgeous streets and plazas of this UNESCO World Heritage City at our own pace.

Day 06: Cusco – Lima – Paracas Enjoy The Stunning Views at Paracas Nature Reserve

 In the morning, you’ll head to the local airport to board your flight to your next destination, the sunny deserts of Ica and Paracas. You need to fly to Lima to reach Paracas. From Lima Airport, you’ll make your way south for approximately 250km towards Paracas Bay where you’ll check into your beautiful seaside hotel. This is the gateway to the Paracas Ica desert and the Paracas Nature Reserve. In the afternoon, if you are up for it, you’ll set out to the nearby Paracas National Reserve, one of Peru’s most important Natural Reserves. Here you will be driven to the main local viewpoints for great views of the ocean and desert landscapes during sunset.

Day 07: Paracas Fly Over the Mysterious Nazca Lines

Today you’ll board the fully equipped speedboat departing from the hotel pier towards the Islands. These are also known as the little Galapagos because of the great variety of marine wildlife that inhabits them, such as sea lions, Humboldt Penguins, and various other marine bird species. Afterwards, you will be able to choose any of the following activities: (1) Fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Drive to Pisco airfield, located 20 minutes away from Paracas. You get to see a little more of the landscape and also fly over the figures in Palpa! (2) Go to Moron Oasis, a beautiful and pristine oasis surrounded by impressive sand dunes, where you can go sandboarding or swimming in the clean waters. (3) Visit La Caravedo Vineyard in Ica, where you’ll visit a 17th-century vineyard and learn how the famous Pisco liquor is made.

 Day 08: Paracas – Lima  Goodbye Peru!

Day 1: Sunset trail – search for alligators

Reception at the airport, transfer to the office where you can re-pack and leave the luggage you will not need in our warehouse; then, we will continue to the port of the Native Community of Infierno from which we will sail for an hour and a half to the Explorer’s Inn Tambopata Ecolodge. During the trip you will have a Box Lunch lunch and a mandatory stop will be made at P.C.V. Tower. (Control Post) to register our entry to the Tambopata National Reserve. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the hostel manager who will give you some recommendations and useful information so that you have a better stay. After a break, our naturalist interpreter will provide an informative talk about the different species of alligators that can be observed in the Tambopata National Reserve, to learn more about this threatened species. Dinner. We will board the canoe again to start the search for alligators in the Tambopata River. Our naturalist interpreter will use a lighthouse to locate them on the banks and thus be able to observe them from a considerable distance.

Day 2: Collpa loritos – walks – Tower – night walk

We will wake up early to visit the “Collpa” de Loros which is 10 minutes by boat from the lodge. “Collpa” is a Quechua word meaning “salty land”, in our case it is a small wall near the river where you can observe different species of parrots and parrots eating clay and will return walking to the lodge. Lunch. After a break we will visit our 42 meter tower to watch the sunset and see some wildlife species such as macaws, parrots, toucans, monkeys and others. In the afternoon we take the boat to go to our excursion to the interesting Isla de los Monos. Day 2: WALK ON THE SANDOVAL LAKE

Early in the morning we start by boat to the entrance of Lake Sandoval, where we will disembark and walk while we appreciate the great variety of flora and fauna such as birds, monkeys, rodents, arachnids, insects, reptiles and amphibians. When you reach the shores of the lake, you will enjoy a refreshing and relaxing bath and a typical jungle lunch and then take a rowing boat and go for a walk on the lake, this time we will look for birds such as hoatzines, cormorants, anhingas and river wolves , before returning to the hostel. At night we boarded a boat with lanterns to observe alligators on the beaches and other nocturnal animals. Return to the lodge and dinner.

Day 3: NATIVE ADVENTURE

Breakfast and we leave to visit an indigenous family located 15 minutes by boat. Once in the place they will kindly welcome us and invite us to sit in one of their huts. The head of the family will tell us about his adventures, some stories, his customs and he will teach us a little about his dialect. We return to the lodge, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will walk through the forest until we reach a suspension bridge where the Canopy will be made. Then we will move to the platform to make Tirolina. We will immediately move to the Madre de Dios River to go kayaking. Finally and before dinner we go to the last excursion of the day that is the search for Caimans with reflectors and lanterns to find them on the banks of the rivers.

Day 4: VISIT TO THE GUACAMAYOS

Early we start by boat while enjoying the beautiful sunrise in the Peruvian jungle until we reach the Collpa de Guacamayos Chuncho, where we can see the hundreds of parrots of different species that come to eat clay from the wall adjacent to the river, followed by 3 species of the most colorful macaws in America. On the way back we will see the ronsocos, which are the largest rodents in the world, sachavacas and the beautiful the jaguar. Arriving at the lodge we will have a delicious breakfast.
