On this journey you will explore Peru’s fascinating ancient civilization, from Lima also known as the city of the Kings, then Nazca, beautiful natural attraction, where we can visualize the enigmatic Nazca lines. After having our breakfast, we will go to the Cruz del Sur tourism company terminal where we will board the VIP Cruise bus to Paracas, where our staff will be waiting to transfer them to the port of Paracas, where we will begin the tour to the Islas Ballestas through “El Candelabro” a giant image on the side of a hill. Early in the morning, you will embark on an incredible journey of approximately 4 hours, bound for the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 meters), passing through Pampa Cañahuas, located in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve , habitat of vicuñas and alpacas (camelids of South America). The highest point of the route is at 4,900 meters above sea level. On the route we appreciate pre Columbian terraces that are still cultivated by the native Collaguas. Arriving at the Colca Valley, we will transfer you to your respective hotel.
In the afternoon, we recommend you rest and acclimatize to the altitude. If you are in good physical condition, you will have free time to take a walk around the hotel or take a refreshing bath in the nearby hot springs.
Very early in the morning we will depart to La Cruz del Cóndor, where you can usually see the largest bird in the world in full flight. After breakfast we will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you to the airport of Cusco to take the flight to Puerto Maldonado “Capital of the biodiversity of the world”.
